✍️Tell Congress to Act on Healthcare Costs

November 10, 2025

Since the beginning of the government shutdown, Republicans have demonstrated that they do not care if healthcare prices skyrocket for millions of Americans.

This government shutdown – the longest in U.S. history – may soon come to an end. Among other guarantees made by Senate Republican leadership, Democrats secured a commitment to vote on reducing the skyrocketing price of healthcare, which, if passed, will lower health insurance costs for millions of Americans.

Join us today in demanding that your members of Congress support Democrats’ efforts to stop healthcare prices from rising by extending Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies. The government is on a path to reopen soon, and when it does, this must be a priority vote, and it must pass.

TELL CONGRESS TO EXTEND HEALTHCARE SUBSIDIES

The deal to reopen the government goes beyond ACA subsidies. The Senate agreed to fund the government through January 30, 2026, including SNAP and other food assistance programs. The deal also guarantees back pay for furloughed federal workers, reverses mass firings made during the shutdown, and brings much-needed relief to over 1.3 million federally-paid employees impacted by the shutdown.

Our work fighting back against Trump’s extreme administration is far from over. Take action with JDCA today to demand Congress stop healthcare prices from rising at the hands of Republicans. This must be the priority as soon as the government reopens, and your members of Congress need to hear from you on this issue.

TELL CONGRESS: LOWER HEALTHCARE COSTS
